The 2015 “Golden Colt Award” World College Students Photography Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the “Exhibition”) will be held in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province on October 24, 2015. This Exhibition is aimed at promoting the academic communication among colleges and universities in China as well as teaching exchange with the international counterparts, thus being of great significance for image education, discipline construction of image art, and high-level talent cultivation among China’s colleges and universities.

　　I. Contribution/Registration Rules

　　1. The Exhibition is available to all students now studying in junior colleges, universities, graduate students or students with equivalent education at home and abroad (including newly-graduated in 2015)。

　　2. The Exhibition consists of the following parts: Unit of Golden Colt Award [including professional groups and non-professional groups, each group has still photography, and Golden Colt Talent Developer Award (for the academic advisors)], Unit of Perception of Shangrao (still photography only). In addition, a Best Organization Award is set up for the participant colleges and universities。

　　3. According to students’ specialties in colleges and universities, this year’s Golden Colt Award falls into professional groups and non-professional groups: the students studying art disciplines such as photography, fine arts, design, film and TV belong to the professional groups; meanwhile the students studying non-art disciplines belong to the non-professional groups. Through comparison and evaluation on the professional groups, still photography falls into three categories: Documentary, Art, and Commercial. Through comparison and evaluation on the non-professional groups, still photography falls into Documentary and Art categories. The Documentary photography focuses on social life, natural environment and ecosystem, folk customs, etc. through recording actual events; the Art photography is to express and create one’s personally aesthetic interests and subjective emotions. There are no restrictions on post processing for works in this group. Commercial photography is aimed at introducing a commodity, service philosophy, or pattern of consumption. There are also no restrictions on post processing for works in this group。

　　4. The contributions to the still photography under the Unit of Golden Colt Award and those for the Unit of Perception of Shangrao can be black and white, or colorful; single or in group. The number of pictures in each group should be limited between 6 and 15, and each piece of work should be attached with descriptions within 200 words。

　　5. Each contributor’s still photography works to the Unit of Golden Colt Award should be less than 6; and that to the Unit of Perception of Shangrao should be less than 10. Note: each single photography work, each group of photography work is regarded as a piece of work。

　　6 Contribution/Registration Methods:

　　6.1his Exhibition only accepts online contribution/registration。

　　6.2 For those who want to contribute to the still photography under the Unit of Golden Colt Award and the Unit of Perception of Shangrao, please download the application form down the page, fill in the registration information and send the form and your works to jjj2015@vip.sina.com. All photos are required to be in the form of jpg, with the long side staying between 1,000 pixels and 1,600 pixels, featuring 72 ppi and less than 3MB。

　　II. Awards and Trophies:

　　1. Unit of Golden Colt Award - Professional Groups - Still photography

　　Golden Colt Award: 3 (each will receive a prize of RMB10,000 <before tax> and trophies worth no less than RMB10,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Award of Excellence: 30 (a certificate of honor will be awarded)

　　2. Unit of Golden Colt Award -Non-Professional Groups –Still photography

　　Golden Colt Award: 2 (each will receive a prize of RMB10,000 <before tax> and trophies worth no less than RMB10,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Award of Excellence: 20 (a certificate of honor will be awarded)

　　3. Unit of Golden Colt Award - Professional Groups - Golden Colt Talent Developer Award

　　Golden Colt Talent Developer Award: 3 (each will receive trophies worth no less than RMB10,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Recommendation Award: 30 (a certificate of honor will be awarded)

　　4. Unit of Golden Colt Award – Non-Professional Groups - Golden Colt Talent Developer Award

　　Golden Colt Talent Developer Award: 2 (each will receive trophies worth no less than RMB10,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Recommendation Award: 20 (a certificate of honor will be awarded)

　　5. Unit of Perception of Shangrao:

　　Gold Collection: 1 (each will receive a prize of RMB10,000 <before tax> and trophies worth no less than RMB10,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Silver Collection: 2 (each will receive a prize of RMB5,000 <before tax> and trophies worth no less than RMB5,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Bronze Collection: 3 (each will receive a prize of RMB3,000 <before tax> and trophies worth no less than RMB2,000, as well as an award cup and a certificate of honor)

　　Award of Excellence: 30 (a certificate of honor will be awarded)

　　6. Best Organization Award for the Participant Colleges and Universities: 5

　　All the participating colleges and universities will be selected according to the number of their contributions and awards. The winners will be granted with trophies and certificates of honor。

　　7. All the selected works and candidates will be announced via the special page of the Exhibition on September 20, 2015; and all the selected works will be shown in October 2015 in Shangrao。

　　III. Precautions:

　　1. No fees will be charged for this Exhibition。

　　2. Any works which has been awarded or selected in a national-level photography exhibition of China shall not be allowed to be shown in this Exhibition。

　　3. All the works shall not contain any factor such as pornography or violence, etc., and its ideology or political view shall not be conflicted with the laws of the People’s Republic of China。

　　4. The Sponsors shall have the right to use the selected works by means of reproducing, distributing, displaying, showing, dissemination via information network or publication in the issues related to this Exhibition, without paying any compensation。

　　5. The Sponsors will centrally take out the raw data files for all the selected documentary photography works for image identification. Failure to provide such raw data files within the specified period shall be deemed as a waiver of eligibility。

　　6. The Sponsors will take out the electronic versions of completed photographs for all the award-winning works, for the purpose of exhibiting, showing and publishing the works collection. Failure to provide such electronic versions within the specified period shall be deemed as a waiver of eligibility。

　　7. All the selected works information will be on public show for 7 days on the special page。

　　8. Any contributor shall ensure that he/she has the independent, complete, clear and undisputed authorship for his/her works, and the works shall not infringe the legitimate rights and interests of any third party, including copyright, authorship, portraiture right, right of reputation, right of privacy, etc. In case of any related dispute, all the legal liabilities shall be borne by the contributor himself. If the Sponsors sustain any damage from this, the Sponsors shall have the right to prosecute the contributor for the legal responsibilities。

　　9. The individual income taxes of the money award or prizes obtained by the winners shall be withheld by the Sponsors。

　　10. Any person contributing a piece of works shall be deemed as having agreed with all the provisions in this Contribution Invitation. Any works who fail to meet the regulations of this Contribution Invitation shall not be selected. If it has been selected, the selection shall be cancelled。

　　11. The Sponsors shall reserve the right of final interpretation for this activity。
